Q.Why should my corporation have a health event?

A. Health events can identify “high risk” participants through basic biometric screening in addition to saving employers millions of dollars in healthcare premiums and lost productivity. More than ever, corporations recognize that healthy employees translate into healthy business. Providing a health event for your employees is an excellent and no-cost benefit that can improve morale, improve productivity, and potentially decrease workmen's compensation claims.

Q.What are the health benefits that can be gained by health testing employees?

 A. Peace of mind and comprehensive results lead to early diagnosis of risk factors, which help employees address necessary lifestyle changes and seek timely and informed healthcare services for cardiac disease, stroke, diabetes, hypertension and other diseases.

 Q. How do I know what type of event is best for my corporation?

A. Our team has produced hundreds of successful health & wellness events with employee counts from 50 to over 100,000. During your free consultation, we will recommend the best options for your selection process.

Q. Can I select the types of screenings?

A. Absolutely, we create a customized suite of solutions designed for the ideal event for your corporate culture.

Q. What do I need to do in order to set-up a health screening event?

A. It’s as simple as selecting the event date(s) and location(s). Wellness Assessment Team will do the following: • An experienced event manager will be assigned to your organization. • The event manager will provide you with marketing materials to announce the event. • All sign-up can be sent electronically. • WAT will provide the appropriate screening results to both participants and management.

Q.   When is the best time to schedule a health event?

A. Anytime is the right time to enhance wellness! Health events can be booked during the business week, or emailed during the weekend. However, it's best to avoid scheduling a health event before a major holiday or during another corporate event. Most importantly, try to obtain management permission to allow at least half of your employees to attend or schedule the event for a weekend so that families can participate.

Q.  What is the typical duration of a health event?

A. This will depend upon the number of employees you expect to attend. Events can be as short as 2 hours, or last an entire weekend, depending upon your needs. The optimal time to schedule a event is between the hours of 10am - 2pm.

Q.What facilities are required to host a health event?

A. That depends upon the number and type of vendors you select. Typically, we ask you to provide a room or space large enough to allow the vendors to exhibit and for your employees to move about comfortably. Most vendors require nothing more than a 6x3 table and 2 chairs. Some vendors, though, also ask for electrical outlets. Certain screenings, such as hearing screenings, require the privacy of a small room. Our staff will review all requirements with you in advance, and will make adjustments to the vendor list as necessary.

Q.Will my employees be interested in attending?

A. In most instances, employees who are aware of the health event are interested in attending. As part of our event management, we provide you with flyers, sign-up sheets and other ideas to advertise your health event internally.

Q. How long will employees be away from work?

A. Basic Biometric screenings take as little as 15 minutes, or at least 20-30 minutes to visit vendor tables.

Q. Why offer flu shots to your employees?

A. Corporations are taking advantage of our worksite services to save money as well as employee time by launching a corporate flu shots day. • You can save about $180 per employee per year in sick leave • You can reduce absenteeism by as much as 48%. Employees’ sick with the flu miss an average of 2.8 days of work per season. • You can save on lost production time • You can show employees how important they are by giving them an added benefit at the workplace.

Q.   What can we expect from the event?

A. Health events are high energy, fun, informative forums where employees are encouraged to interact and participate in health screenings of all types. Thru this interaction, along with detailed explanations and recommendations, participants leave the event better informed and thereby make better decisions regarding their health and lifestyle management.

Q.   Who interprets all the health screening results?

A. All test results are reviewed by our team of medically trained health professionals; however the employees are free to provide these results to their physician. Q.   How will employees receive their results?

A. In an easy to read “Results Report Card”. Basic biometric results are provided immediately following each health screening.

Q.   What type of health testing results can the employer receive?

A. Employers can receive a comprehensive aggregate report summing up the findings of the health screenings, areas for improvement and potential ROI. No identifying information is included to ensure participant confidentiality.

Q.    How is employee privacy ensured?

A. We follow all HIPAA regulations, in addition to state and federal regulations. All participant results are completely confidential; employers will not have access to any employee results.

Q.   What if an employee is recommended for the advanced health screenings?

A. At the time of the basic biometric screening, if three or more risk indicators are found, the employee will be given information on advanced biometric screenings and recommended to consult with their physician.

Q.   What if an employee is found to have a severely abnormal screening result?

A. If a screening participant is found to have a critical abnormality (i.e. they are at immediate medical risk), they will be notified immediately. Our highly qualified staff will instruct them on how to proceed.

Q.  How does a corporation pay for the health screenings?

A. Some employers pay for advanced testing as an additional benefit, while others allow their employees to pay directly.

Q.   How can Wellness Assessment Team offer this service at no cost to my corporation?

A. The cost of the health event is absorbed by the health related professionals who participate in the event and is offset by the terrific exposure they receive by meeting and educating your employees. We offer advanced screenings for an affordable fee, please inquire with your personal event manager.

Q.   How much does a Comprehensive Wellness Program Cost?

A. Fees for comprehensive wellness events typically $150.00 - $250.00 and often begin paying for themselves immediately. Costs per participant vary based on the following: • The overall program design and tests wanted. • The number of participants screened. • The number of locations serviced.
